Once again, the LCEC sponcered, ISRT - ISEL Solar Racing Team competed at the VS-Solar Challange. This year they placed second in both challanges, Speed and Endurance. This years solar car was equiped with data logging witch allowed the team to collect valuable data, importante to improve the car for 2019.

The LCEC R&D Group was present at Green Business Week 2017 with the presentation of a functional prototype of an Auto Start & Stop system applied to diesel generator sets.
From a perspective of reducing consumption and pollutant emissions, the Auto Start & Stop system allows the diesel engine automatic turn off, when there is no electricity consumption. Starting again automatically when load is requested, without requiring operator intervention at the diesel generator set.
